Senior Associate - Automation Test Engineer

Role Overview:

The Corporate Systems Development division at New York Life Insurance Company is seeking a dynamic and highly skilled senior associate automation test engineer.   This role requires extension experience and knowledge in how to develop test framework, test cases, set the standards and lead varied test teams in all aspects of automation for both web and mobile applications. 

 

What You’ll Do:

Primary responsibility is to lead several teams in all aspects of automation development and execution for web sites and mobile application.  Duties include:

• Design and develop automation framework, tests and scripts to validate the functionality, accuracy, and efficiency of software. 
• Develop tests, test suites, execution protocols for CI/CD.
• Analyze test results: Review test results to identify areas of improvement.  
• Collaborate with development and QA teams to create automation strategies and deployment processes. 
• Maintain testing frameworks and ensure software reliability and performance.  
• Develop automation to read/ write to database.
• Document test coverage, framework, instructions, results and resolution of issues

 

What You’ll Bring:

 

• BS/MS degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field
• 8+ years of experience as a Software Development Engineer in Test
• Proficiency in several programming language (Java, JavaScript, Ruby, Python) and JSON format
• Proficiency in Appium, TestNG, Selenium and Jenkins
• 5+ years of experience with automating mobile applications, Flutter, and Web applications
• Excellent communication skills to work closely with development, QA and product owner teams.
• Excellent organization and documentation skills
• Proficient in writing SQL and querying ORACLE databases
