Job Description

As a Security Officer - Armed Government Site - Evening Shift in Windsor, NC, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government and more .

As an Armed Patrol Officer with Allied Universal, you will play a key role in helping to deter security-related incidents and maintaining a secure environment within a government location. Your responsibilities will include conducting routine patrols, remaining highly visible to help deter unwanted activity, and responding promptly to incidents as they arise. This is an armed and driving post, requiring you to carry a firearm and operate a vehicle as part of your daily duties. You will interact with staff and visitors, providing exceptional customer service and clear communication while upholding the values of integrity, teamwork, and reliability that define Allied Universal. What You’ll Do:

• Use our proprietary scheduling platform to claim open shifts at client sites
• Support operations across a range of environments including commercial real estate, healthcare, and education
• Receive site-specific training and guidance from experienced teams
• Deliver consistent, professional security presence and customer service
• Be ready to fill in at short notice when urgent needs arise

Responsibilities:

• Provide customer service to clients by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner.
• Conduct regular and random armed patrols around the location and its perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity.
• Monitor for unusual or suspicious activity and report findings according to site protocols.
• Interact professionally with visitors, staff, and/or the public while maintaining a visible presence.
• Follow all site-specific instructions and protocols related to armed patrol duties.
• Assist with access control and/or visitor management as required by the location.
• Support Allied Universal and client staff during emergency situations by following established procedures.

Minimum Requirements:

• Must possess a valid Armed Guard Card or License.
• Must have at least 6 months of experience in armed security-related, law enforcement, and/or military roles.
• Must be at least 21 years of age.
• A valid driver’s license is required and must meet Allied Universal driver policy requirements for driving positions only.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Participate in industry-specific security-related training programs.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
