Job Description
The Future Talent Program features internships that last up to 12 weeks and will include one or more projects. These opportunities in our Research Labs Division can provide you with great development and a chance to see if we are the right company for your long-term goals.
Basic Function and Responsibility:
This assignment is in the Global Medical Proficiency and External Affairs (GMPEA) team within Global Medical Values and Capabilities. This function exists within the broader Value and Implementation organization, which is part of our company's Research Laboratories.
GMPEA serves as the Center of Excellence for healthcare quality improvement (HQI) strategy, professional relations and external affairs, independent medical education (IME), and our Research Division Grants worldwide. GMPEA engages with medical and professional societies globally to enable high quality care through HQI initiatives and innovative IME for healthcare professionals across our portfolio of therapeutic areas, aiming to patient care and enable optimal outcomes.
Key Activities:
The intern in this assignment may be responsible for:
Assisting with conducting educational needs assessments to support development of therapeutic area IME educational gaps and priorities.
Assisting with the assessment of US and global IME Grant proposal submissions aiming to address healthcare provider gaps in knowledge, skills, competence, and/or professional performance.
Reviewing IME activities to gather insights of educational needs and evolving healthcare practices, as well as outcomes measures of educational effectiveness.
Cataloging high-priority medical and professional society strategic priorities and initiatives to support GMPEA external affairs strategy.
Supporting execution of GMPEA strategic priorities.
Education/Qualifications:
Candidates must be a college student with a major in a Business, Medical, or Science field. Candidates enrolled in an advanced degree program (MPH, PharmD, PhD) are preferred.
Candidates must have excellent verbal and written communication skills and be highly motivated to work independently.
Candidates must have demonstrated leadership skills, self-motivation, flexibility, adaptability and willingness to learn.

Salary range:
The salary range for this role is $39,600.00-$105,500.00 USD
