What is the opportunity?
Own enterprise data products across Capital Markets. This role is part of RBC Capital Markets Data Strategy & Execution and is responsible for delivering trusted, governed, AI-ready data capabilities.
The Data Product Lead will define strategy, lead execution, partner across business and technology, and deliver measurable business value through modern data capabilities.
What will you do?
Develop domain strategy aligned with Capital Markets objectives.
Partner with business, technology, operations, risk and finance.
Define target-state architecture and roadmap.
Lead strategic transformation initiatives.
Drive data quality, controls and governance.
Establish business KPIs and value realization metrics.
Manage stakeholder communications up to executive level.
Champion cloud, AI and automation.
Develop reusable data products and APIs.
Mentor teams and foster innovation.
Ensure regulatory compliance and audit readiness.
Support investment planning and prioritization.
What do you need to succeed?
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Finance or related field.
10+ years of relevant Capital Markets experience.
Strong communication and executive presentation skills.
Experience delivering enterprise-scale transformation.
Ability to lead cross-functional global teams.
Must-Have Skills
Deep Capital Markets domain expertise.
Proven leadership in enterprise data strategy, governance or engineering.
Preferred Qualifications
Graduate degree and experience with Databricks, Snowflake, Collibra, cloud platforms and AI-enabled data management.

The expected salary range for this position is $300,000 - $400,000, based on factors such as experience, skills, registration status, market conditions, and business needs. This salary range does not include other elements of total compensation, such as:
A discretionary bonus.
