We are looking for a Critical Operations Manager to join our Powertrain Engineering Operations Team. Our ideal candidate is a self-starter, revels in ambiguity and has a passion for people and processes.

The Role:

  • A Critical Operations Manager is responsible for overseeing and ensuring efficient functioning of powertrain operations by collaborating across the organization.

  • The specific duties and responsibilities may vary, but generally include the following:

  • Team Leadership:
  • Lead a team of professionals responsible for critical operations, providing guidance, support, and mentorship while fostering a culture of continuous learning/improvement.
  • Foster a positive and collaborative work environment to enhance team effectiveness.
  • Manage resources effectively, including personnel, budget, and processes to meet operational goals.

  • Strategic Planning & Process Improvement:
  • Collaborate with key stakeholders (i.e. TPMs, design leads, lab managers) to understand their needs and incorporate feedback into operational strategies.
  • Develop and implement strategic plans for critical operations to align with the overall business objectives.
  • Continuously assess, identify, improve, and implement common operational processes/tools to enhance efficiency and effectiveness.
  • Implement best practices and industry standards to optimize workflows.
  • Facilitate effective communication between different departments and teams to ensure a cohesive approach to critical operations.
  • Work closely with internal/external compliance teams (i.e. Environment Health and Safety, industry standards) and manufacturing to ensure that critical operations comply with relevant laws, regulations, and industry standards.

  • Risk/Incident Management:
  • Identify potential risks and vulnerabilities in critical operations and develop strategies to mitigate them.
  • Coordinate with relevant teams to proactively prevent, manage, and/or resolve incidents in a timely manner.

  • Documentation:
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date documentation of critical operational processes, procedures, and policies with alignment with manufacturing, continued learnings, and EHS.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in business administration or program management. Technical subject preferred but not a requirement.
  • Minimum 5 years of professional experience, ideally in the automotive sector
  • People management experience highly desirable but will also accept someone with strong desire to learn and be coached if they already have strong soft skills.
  • Have a passion for building teams with a keen interest on organizational behavior.
  • Experience working in cross-functional teams in time constrained environments
  • Experience managing multiple stakeholders, that that have competing needs and priorities.

Preferred:

  • Master’s degree and/or PMP certification highly desirable.
  • Six sigma certifications a strong plus
Salary Range: The compensation range for this position is specific to the locations listed below and is the range Lucid reasonably and in good faith expects to pay for the position taking into account the wide variety of factors that are considered in making compensation decisions ,including job-related knowledge; skillset; experience, education and training; certifications; and other relevant business and organizational factors. ·       California (Bay Area) -$131,000/yr -$187,000/yr Additional Compensation and Benefits: Lucid offers a wide range of competitive benefits, including medical, dental, vision, life insurance, disability insurance, vacation, and 401k.The successful candidate may also be eligible to participate in Lucid’s equity program and/or a discretionary annual incentive program, subject to the rules
