Essential Functions
- Under direction, performs highly specialized clerical duties relating to the seed, feed, fertilizer, anhydrous ammonia, soil amendment, chemistry lab and seed lab programs. Requires substantial responsibility, technical knowledge and understanding of agency programs, policies, and procedures.
- Responsible for processing certificates and typing all necessary information into the bureau program areas database systems.
- Prepares, organizes, and maintains all bureau program areas files.
- Assists in the evaluation, processing, preparing, and entering all analysis sheets to ensure accuracy.
- Performs other duties as required or assigned which are reasonably within the scope of the duties enumerated above.
Minimum Qualifications
- Requires knowledge, skill, and mental development equivalent to the completion of high school.
- Requires two years of office experience.
- Requires the ability to keyboard 45 words per minute.
Preferred Qualifications
- Prefers extensive knowledge of office practices, procedures, and programs.
- Prefers extensive knowledge of composition, grammar, spelling, and punctuation.
- Prefers working knowledge of basic mathematics.
- Prefers elementary knowledge of agency programs, rules, and regulations.
- Prefers two (2) years of working experience with following oral or written instructions.
- Prefers two (2) years of working experience with operating commonly used manual and automated office equipment and perform routine maintenance.
Conditions of Employment

- Overtime is a condition of employment, and you may be requested or required/mandated to work overtime including
scheduled, unscheduled, or last-minute overtime. This requires the ability to work evenings and weekends. - This position is considered light work as defined by the U.S. Department of Labor (20 CFR 404.1567(b)). Light work involves lifting no more than 20 pounds at a time with frequent lifting or carrying of objects weighing up to 10 pounds. This job may require a good deal of walking or standing or involves sitting most of the time with some pushing and pulling
