Job Title: IT Technology Services Senior Specialist 

Location: Newtown Square, PA 

Work Model: Hybrid work model 

 

Purpose and Objective:   

SAP America, Inc. seeks an IT Technology Services Senior Specialist at our Newtown Square, PA location to develop and provide systems, applications, products and services to optimize/automate business processes, improve work efficiency and provide the expert support in operations.  

 

Expectations and Tasks:  

Revises and updates existing programs and provides required documentation. Facilitates the service lifecycle and product lifecycle. Execute technical feasibility studies / solution reviews. Define / review technical blueprint for internal IT projects. Customize and develop enhancements. Implement the solutions. Execute and support problem management and continuous improvement. Participate in de-escalation activities. Contribute to the Build to Run engagement. Contribute to the definition of technical standards and frameworks. Deliver outcomes of assigned projects and work independently on topics. Resolve complex issues in own area (e.g. cross-functional or cross-country projects). Enhance complex systems/processes. Communicates clear and conveying processes & policies in a way that others can understand. Advocate for the end user by having a deep understanding of end user needs, behaviors & usage patterns. Promote the role of User Experience, thorough understanding of contemporary user-centered design methodologies & practices and ability to integrate those into current and future development efforts.  

 

Education and Occupational Experience:  

Bachelor’s degree or foreign equivalent in Computer Science, Mathematics, Engineering, or a related field of study and six (6) years of progressive post-baccalaureate experience in the job offered or related occupation. Alternatively, a Master’s degree or foreign equivalent in Computer Science, Mathematics, Engineering, or a related field of study and four (4) years of experience in the job offered or related occupation. 

 

Qualifications/Skills and Competencies Experience:  

Experience must involve four (4) years in the following: 

• SAP architecture; 

• Advise customers on technical requirements, constraints, and support in technical situations, including IT critical situations, throughout the lifecycle;  

• Technical planning, implementation, configuration, and integration of SAP solutions; 

• Agile methodologies including Scrum, Scaled Agile Framework (SAFe), and blended approaches; 

• S/4HANA architecture, conversion, migration path, methodology and tools; and 

• SAP cloud solutions and integration scenarios of SAP systems with SCP and BTP.
