The Chief of Staff to the EVP of Energy Resources/Utilities will work alongside the EVPs and Chief Growth Office as a key member of the leadership team to execute strategic initiatives across the company. This role will enable our Energy Resources & Utilities to gain new insight into their business, drive key growth initiatives forward and support execution of mission critical analysis of performance and operations. You will be asked to operate in a fast-paced environment, working on multiple initiatives, typically dedicating meaningful time to 1-3 efforts at a time.

- Strategic plans & Execution
- Operates as a thought partner with key executives helping to define and refined the direction and strategy. This role will lead efforts to build the fact base and business cases in support of pursuing certain growth vectors.
- Mobilize and manage teams charged with executing strategies, monitor the execution of the strategic plan, and act as a resource across the organization to increase broad cohesion for strategic plans.
- Use knowledge and perspective of the overall business to identify emerging opportunities and risks that will require the attention of EVP of ER/Utilities and other members of the executive leadership team.
- Present strategic plans and deliver regular progress updates to the Executive Leadership Team.
- Implementation planning and support:
- Partner with functional leadership to translate approved strategic plans into execution plans, which will include human resource/talent plans and any required OpEx/CapEx expenditure.
- Ensure that strategic initiatives have clear ownership and accountability, and are completed on time, within budget and with a quality of implementation that leads to impactful results.
- Measure and report the effectiveness of initiated strategies across functions.
- Project management:
- Work closely with EVP, Chief Growth Officer and other EPE team members to manage a portfolio of initiatives identified as step-change business acceleration opportunities for the business. This portfolio consists of a mix of growth initiatives and continuous improvement opportunities identified and resourced as important to the business (e.g., automation, process improvement, etc.).
- Provide managerial support including strategic support, analytical guidance and thought partnership for functional leaders across the organization.
- Take individual ownership of the execution for certain critical corporate strategic initiatives.

The successful candidate will:
- Demonstrate humility and prioritize team success over individual recognition.
- 2-5 years of work experience leading growth and transformation and/or operational improvement initiatives.
- Has a commercial mindset with the ability to prioritize practical work that drives a tangible economic and/or strategic business impact.
- Utility, Renewable Energy, or Power Development industry experience and is a big plus but not required.
- Analytical, detail oriented and data centric.
- Strong knowledge in database development and analysis experience in Excel, Alteryx, PowerPivot or SQL.
- Strong written and verbal skills, with the ability to convey complex ideas clearly and persuasively.
- Execution oriented with an improvement mindset that challenges the status quo.
- Outstanding interpersonal skills; represent EPE externally in a professional, collaborative and helpful manner.
- Ability to work independently as well as in a team environment.
- Strong organizational skills and exhibits courage to challenge the norm.
- Able to take initiative and anticipate the next steps.
