About the role

Job Summary

Leads a team of Business Intelligence Analysts that explores performance and variation in clinical care, provides information to monitor appropriate performance data, generate business and member insights, monitors and evaluates clinical initiatives, and supports strategies that empower the improvement of member lives, teams, leaders, and providers as appropriate to drive change with actionable analytics. This team will focus primarily on pharmacy data.

Essential Functions

  • Creates and executes a plan to conduct appropriate analytics, taking into account corporate strategies and regulatory and accreditation requirements.
    • Leads and designs measurement that includes the scope of the appropriate metrics across the system
    • Ensures relevancy of measures and analysis for a wide variety of customers across the company and for levels of reporting from member-level to executives
    • Conducts analysis that provides descriptive, relational, or predictive information
  • Leads the delivery of reports and analytics to ensure the proper use of data extraction, measurement methods, and data visualization.
    • Establishes and maintains policies and procedures that ensures accurate data reporting
    • Develops data collection and evaluation methodologies including, but not limited to, design, requirements, and usage
    • Develops and implements methodology to support data completeness and accuracy
  • Leads and designs measurement of the performance of and variation in care across the continuum of care.
  • Conducts analysis that provides descriptive, relational, or predictive information.
    Continuously improves information and analysis for descriptions, measurement, and operational support.
  • Evaluates and plans the adoption of reporting and analytic technologies and techniques to improve data reporting. Leads the purchase or development and maintenance of informatics tools or data systems by which analytics are conducted.
  • Fosters relationships with Digital Services, Informatics, and other units conducting analytics to maximize the use of data, data tools, and analytic methods.
  • Provides daily management and leadership of the analytic staff to ensure timely and accurate analytic products. Conducts training and mentoring to support ongoing growth of analyst staff.

Qualifications

Required

  • Bachelor's degree in health care, engineering, mathematics, computer science, information technology, business administration, biostatistics, social or nature sciences or a related field
  • 7 years of relevant experience in healthcare quality, analytics, patient experience, or informatics

Preferred

  • Master's Degree in health care, engineering, mathematics, computer science, information technology, business administration, biostatistics, social or nature sciences or a related field.
  • Supervisory or management experience
  • Pharmacy and/or Medical Claims experience
