Summary:
We are seeking talented students who are interested in paid summer internship opportunities within the New York Mets’ front office. Ideal candidates have a long-term goal of working in professional sports. The Summer Internship Program is designed for qualified students who are entering their Junior or Senior year of college. The Interns selected will make a significant contribution to the organization during the 2025 season. In addition to your department, you will be able to explore other aspects of the business through joint projects, participation in lunch & learns, and various networking events.
Program Length/Schedule:
The internship will run from June 2nd through August 7th, 2025.
Candidates must be fully available for the duration of the internship.
Work location will be on-site at Citi Field, Flushing, NY 11368.
- Please note game day and special event responsibilities include late nights and weekends.
If you are selected to participate in the interview process, the first round will include a digital interview.
The New York Mets will not be providing housing for the internship.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities:
Contribute to revenue generation through selling of memberships, groups and private suites
Collaborate with other departments and look for new and innovative ways to grow revenue and analyze business trends
Create and implement unique sales strategies, ideas and programs as a means of producing new business opportunities
Have a positive impact on the sales team culture by developing working relationships with teammates and leadership
Implement and demonstrate outbound sales efforts by using sales and service best practices, prospecting, networking, lead generation, referral gathering, data capture and personal database management
Participate and contribute to daily or weekly sales team meetings and training sessions
Qualifications:
Ability to work efficiently in fast-paced environment.
Must be able to work and interact well with others (fellow interns, executives, front office staff, athletes, fans, corporate clients, etc.).
Excellent oral and written communication skills.
Solid computer skills, with an emphasis on Microsoft Office (Excel/Word).
Must be available to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends and holidays.

Salary: $18.15 an Hour
