Looking for an experienced, mission-driven individual to join our team as DDS–Junior Analyst.

 

Job Duties:

The Disability Determination Services Division (DDS) is a division of the Virginia Department for Aging & Rehabilitative Services (DARS) objective is to provide accurate, timely, efficient and cost-effective evaluations of medical and vocational evidence related to claims filed by citizens of the Commonwealth of Virginia for benefits under Title II, Title XVI, and Title XIX of the Social Security Act. These evaluations result in the adjudication or “determination” of claims at the initial claims stage, at the continuing disability review stage, and at other appellate points in the disability process.

We are seeking an DDS Analyst – Junior Level to adjudicate disability claims in an accurate, timely, and cost-effective manner while providing outstanding customer service.

Other duties and/or special projects as assigned.
Completes duties and/or projects as needed or directed by supervisor.

Minimum Qualifications:

The idea candidate will have:



• Ability to analyze information and data, arriving at well-supported decisions or conclusions following established policies and procedures.
• Ability to multi-task, meet multiple established deadlines, and organize and manage a caseload.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Proficient in the use of PC and position-related software applications.

  • Must pass HSPD-12 federal credentialing.
  • This has been designated a sensitive position under Va. Code § 2.2-1201.1.
