Riverside Research is seeking a full-time Senior Strategic Planner to support the National Space Intelligence Center (NSIC), Wright-Patterson AFB, OH. The Senior Strategic Planner will be a key member of a team providing advice and assistance across a wide range of issues. The Senior Strategic Planner will be responsible for facilitating development of a cohesive plan that integrates mission, technology, and programmatic actions across the future years defense program (FYDP). All Riverside Research opportunities require U.S. Citizenship.
Job Responsibilities:
- Facilitate development of a cohesive plan that integrates mission, technology, and programmatic actions across the future years defense program (FYDP); identify constraints, restraints, and dependencies
- Assist in characterizing desired end state (the objective), ways (method or process by which the end state is achieved), and means (resources required to enable the plan)
- Develop viable courses of action for strategic plan implementation; describe strengths, weaknesses, opportunities, and threats; provide recommendations that optimize desired outcomes
- Solicit technical and operational requirements to meet plan objectives; support market surveys of available technologies to meet validated needs
- Cultivate and maintain collaborative relationships with government and contract mission partners across the intelligence community (IC) and Department of Defense (DoD); may include limited travel
- Schedule meetings, prepare minutes, track status of tasks, create and present briefings, as well as draft white papers
- Other duties as assigned
Required Qualifications:
- Top Secret clearance with SCI adjudication
- Bachelor's degree in engineering, physics, computer science, mathematics, physical sciences or related technical fields
- Minimum 10 years’ experience working within the Intelligence Community
- Self-motivated, independent, detail oriented responsible team player capable of interacting with senior leaders within the Space Force, Air Force, the Intelligence Community, and Department of Defense
- Proficient in standard computer applications such as MS Outlook, Word, PowerPoint, and Excel; strong written and verbal communication skills
Desired Qualifications:
- Master's degree in business administration, engineering, physics, computer science, mathematics, operations research, finance, accounting, management, or related fields
- Recognized subject matter expert within areas of interest to the United States Space Force (USSF), Space Operations Command (SpOC), and the National Space Intelligence Center
- Familiarity with the joint planning process, military decision making process, SWOT analysis, conduct of market surveys, and/or Design Thinking
