Job Description:
This job is responsible for defining and leading the engineering approach for complex features to deliver significant business outcomes. Key responsibilities of the job include delivering complex features and technology, enabling development efficiencies, providing technical thought leadership based on conducting multiple software implementations, and applying both depth and breadth in a number of technical competencies. Additionally, this job is accountable for end-to-end solution design and delivery.

Job Profile Summary:

A Senior Rates eTrading Development Lead is required to modernize and expand our front office eTrading platforms that support Rates products across multiple lines of businesses globally. This is a hands-on technical leadership role that will bring expertise in software engineering best practices, architecting and building low latency D2C and D2D algos, market data connectivity, execution workflows, internalization, and pricing.  This role will help lead the technical architecture and delivery of strategic initiatives that span across business enablement/growth, platform modernization, stability, performance, and innovation.  The candidate will have deep experience in front-office eTrading systems and be a key partner to tech management, software engineers, quantitative analysts, and traders.

Responsibilities:

• Ensures that the design and engineering approach for complex features are consistent with the larger portfolio solution
• Define the technology tool stack for the solution and evaluate and adapt new testing tool/framework/practices for team(s)
• Enables team(s)/applications with Continuous Integration/Continuous Development (CI/CD) capabilities and engages with other technical stakeholders pertaining to efficient functioning of CI-CD pipeline
• Guides and influences team(s) on design and best practices for high code performance –e.g. pairing, code reviews
• Provides end-to-end delivery of complex features, including automation, for either a single team or multiple teams, at the program level
• Conducts research, design prototyping and other exploration activities such as evaluating new toolsets and components for release management, CI/CD, and features
• Works with stakeholders to establish high-level solution needs and with architects for technical requirements
•  Build high-performance, low latency components for fixed income eTrading and pricing workflows.
• Developing frameworks and core services to enable real-time order execution, auto-quoting, algo engines, pricing services, collaborating with quant and algo teams.
• Champion best development practices including agile iterative development, pairing, code reviews, CI/CD, automated testing, loosely coupled interface design, disciplines and principles for scalability and re-use.
• Refactor and modernize existing code and improving performance, design, and observability metrics of existing and new components
• Working with technology partners and business groups in the region and globally
• Work with the management, horizontal teams, and stakeholders to help define and deliver the strategic roadmap.<
