What you'll be doing in the role of Coordinator, Community Health Training

The Coordinator, Community Health Training, is responsible for supporting the Community Health Training team in administering external culturally responsive educational programming, professional development and networking opportunities for diverse community health audiences. The coordinator is responsible for supporting content development and external training programming, communication with constituents, administration of the online learning management system and logistical support of the execution of virtual elements of the training program and community to promote knowledge and utilization of Komen’s mission programs and educational resources.   

What will you bring to the table

The primary objective of the Coordinator, Community Health Training is to support Susan G. Komen in achieving our overall Vision and Mission by:

  • Supporting the Community Health Training team in creation of new training content and opportunities, including collaboration with other Komen Mission and Learning and Development teams, research and writing of training curriculum and courses, planning events and other learning opportunities.
  • Engaging with external health equity, community health and patient navigation subject matter experts for best practice and knowledge sharing to ensure ongoing high-quality and culturally responsive content and identifies opportunities for training content.
  • Administering online learning management system for the community health training initiatives, including enrollment, monitoring participant progress, and providing user support. 
  • Tracking program data and maintaining program files.
  • Supporting collaboration with Komen’s Marketing, Community Health and Mission teams to develop marketing and communications plans and collateral to drive participation.
  • Providing administrative support of virtual training events and workshops including summits, panel discussions and various trainings by creating meeting invitations and agendas, disseminating follow-up survey communications, etc.
  • Maintaining files and documentation for program.
  • Collaborating with Community Health Outreach teams to promote the program.
  • Providing excellent customer service to both internal and external parties in resolving inquiries about the program.
  • Supporting the Community Health Training team in creation of new training content and opportunities, including collaboration with other Komen Mission and Learning and Development teams
  • All other duties as assigned.

We know you will have and be able to

  • Minimum 2 years’ experience working in project coordinator, project management, program administration, program promotion, or health educator type of role.
  • Knowledge of core competencies and Professional Oncology Navigation Oncology Navigation Standards of Professional Practice for patient navigation.
  • Bachelor’s degree in a related field or equivalent experience (Experience may be substituted for some of the education experience with 5-7 years of working experience).
  • Experience writing training curriculum and/or facilitating training and workforce development content.
  • Demonstrated experience supporting culturally responsive educational programs for communities of color and the underserved in a healthcare environment.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and a collaborative work style.
  • Proven ability to thrive in a fast paced, technology driven service environment.
  • Demonstrated success working in highly collaborative/cross-functional environments.
