Senior Analyst

About the Role

The Senior Analyst will be instrumental in providing strategic insights and actionable recommendations that enhance data-driven decision-making across the organization. In this role, you’ll create a measurable business impact by using your advanced analytical skills and problem-solving abilities to interpret complex data, conduct research studies, and support cross-functional initiatives. Working closely with Product Managers and teams across the organization, you’ll uncover key business insights, develop optimization strategies, and validate them through experimentation. 

What You’ll Do

• Collaborate with Product and Analytics leadership to conceive and structure analysis, delivering highly actionable insights from “deep dives” into key business areas 
• Analyze large datasets, both internal and external, to identify growth and optimization opportunities 
• Effectively communicate findings and recommendations to diverse stakeholders, including senior leadership 
• Act as a strategic partner to key stakeholders, aligning analytical efforts with business objectives. Provide insights to inform strategic decisions, guide product direction, and ensure alignment with the company’s long-term vision 
• Perform Descriptive and Prescriptive Analytics using advanced Machine Learning/LLM models, A/B testing, multi-armed bandit (MAB) experimentation, and build reports to understand key business trends 
• Develop, track and implement business metrics that will help to drive the business  
• Contribute to the development of growth strategies, both from a marketing and operations perspective 
• Gain deep insights and develop segmentation of the JustAnswer audience to guide informed strategic decisions  

What We’re Looking For

• 7+ years of experience in data analytics, or a similar role, with demonstrated success in delivering high-quality analytical work
• Strong SQL skills with experience writing complex queries to extract and analyze data 
• Experience with Google Analytics, BigQuery, PowerBI, and Python/R is desired 
• Knowledge of machine learning concepts, specifically segmentation techniques and model development is highly preferred 
• Experience with large language models (LLMs) is a bonus, however, we welcome candidates who are eager and motivated to rapidly learn about and engage with emerging AI technologies 
• Expertise in Descriptive and Inferential Statistical Analysis
• Strong experience in setting up and driving A/B testing or Hypothesis Testing, with the ability to analyze results effectively
• Preferred experience in developing, scaling, and automating self-service analytical tools
• Ability to translate analytical results into business recommendations 
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with confidence in communicating across all levels of management and diverse business functions 
• Experience within e-commerce or customer experience products is a plus 
• Proficiency in analysis and business modeling using Excel
• Bachelor’s degree in Analytics, Data Science, Statistics or a related field. A Master’s degree is a plus
