Job Description Qualifications:

Boeing Global Services (BGS) is seeking an Information Technology Business Success Leader to support our Digital Aviation Solutions business in Seattle, WA; Englewood, CO; and North Charleston, SC

This role supports one of the most technologically dynamic and fastest growing businesses in Boeing. Reporting to the Senior Manager in BGS Information Technology (IT) Business Success, this role oversees and acts as a strategic technology partner for between BGS's Digital Aviation business and IT to understand priorities and develop a strategy to ensure the most critical of business objectives are met. As a critical member of the team, this person will understand the business strategy and leverage IT service offerings to create meaningful business outcomes.

A successful candidate will be able to collaborate directly with the business to understand problems or initiatives and represent the business or function within IT at the highest levels to engage the right resources, explore alternatives, and help deploy the right solution with speed and first-time quality.

Position Responsibilities:

  • Directs the development and execution of work
  • Communicates the progress to leadership and to business or function stakeholders
  • Oversees the identification of risks and impacts and coordinates with business or function senior leadership to approve mitigation plans or changes to commitments
  • Provides input and lessons learned on IT processes, procedures, tools, and techniques, and ensures alignment to quality management solutions for the business or function
  • Holds accountability for the dollars spent, funding, and affordability in support of the business

This position is hybrid. The selected candidate will be required to perform some work onsite at one of the listed location options. This is at the hiring team’s discretion and could potentially change in the future.

This position must meet export control compliance requirements. To meet export control compliance requirements, a “U.S. Person” as defined by 22 C.F.R. §120.15 is required. “U.S. Person” includes U.S. Citizen, lawful permanent resident, refugee, or asylee.

 Basic Qualifications (Required Skill/Experience):

  • 5+ years of experience in IT, business strategy, or related roles
  • 5+ years of experience managing multiple projects and priorities simultaneously
  • Experience building cross-functional relationships; experience connecting with an advising senior leaders within the business and thoughtfully challenging leadership when necessary
  • Experience with IT service offerings and business process management

 Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):

  • 5+ years of experience in IT and business strategy roles, with a significant portion in leadership positions.
  • Experience in strategic planning and execution
  • Experience with risk management and mitigation strategies
  • Experience with financial acumen to manage budgets and funding
  • Experience with Program/Project Management
  • Experience in stakeholder management and negotiation
  • Experience in the digital aviation business processes and challenges
  • Experience with digital transformation initiatives and emerging technologies

Typical Education/Experience: 

Education/experience typically acquired through advanced education (e.g. Bachelor) and typically 15 or more years' related work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience (e.g. Master+13 years' related work experience, 19 years' related work experience, etc.).
