Advertising Summary: KRWG Public Media at New Mexico State University is looking for a Business Outreach Coordinator to support our organization. Duties include but are not limited to: Identify and secure underwriting revenue. Meet or exceed revenue goals. Formulate sales strategies and develops diverse marketing plans for underwriters, including TV, FM, online, and print and other sponsorship opportunities. Build strong client relationships, identify gaps and growth potential, and explores untapped opportunities. Secure trade partnerships with business and community organizations, originate and track underwriting contracts, manage accounts and client relationships, write FCC-compliant copy, coordinate related production requests, collect payments, and reconcile monthly invoices and billing.

Standard Work Schedule: Standard (M-F, 8-5)

Job Duties and Responsibilities: Identifies and secures underwriting revenue. Meets or exceeds revenue goals. Formulates sales strategies and develops diverse marketing plans for underwriters, including TV, FM, online, and print and other sponsorship opportunities. Builds strong client relationships, identifies gaps and growth potential, and explores untapped opportunities. Secures trade partnerships with business and community organizations, originates and tracks underwriting contracts, manages accounts and client relationships, writes FCC-compliant copy, coordinates related production requests, collects payments, and reconciles monthly invoices and billing.

 

Qualifications

Required Education and Experience: 
Associate's Degree + 2 years of relevant experience or a Bachelor's degree.

Equivalent Qualifications: 
High school diploma/GED + 10 years of progressively responsible marketing experience.
(Equivalent combinations of education in Marketing, Communications, Public Relations, Business, Journalism, or closely related field and directly related experience may substitute on a year-for-year basis.)

Preferred Qualifications: 
Associate's Degree in Marketing, Communications, Public Relations, Business, Journalism, or closely related field + 2 years of relevant experience
OR
Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Communications, Public Relations, Business, Journalism, or closely related field

Working Conditions and Physical Effort

Environment: Work is normally performed in a typical interior/office work environment.

Physical Effort: No or very limited physical effort required.

Lifting Requirements: Requires handling of average-weight objects up to 10 pounds or some standing or walking.
