Your role
As a Service Support Assistant you will handle contract renewals, invoicing, hours- and order administration. You are the internal support for the Service Account Managers (SAM) by coordinating relevant internal processes ensuring quality and follow-up.
Your responsibility is that an effective line of communication is kept to ensure minimal disruption to customer processes and the customers' expectations are professionally managed. Good listening, verbal and written communications skills with the ability to interact effectively, is key!
For candidates with ambitions, there is the potential to evolve into a cooperating forman position, overseeing a team of 3 direct colleagues. You will then act as spokesperson of your team to continuously improve internal processes with other parts of the organization.
Your tasks
- You calculate / index service contracts and set up in the Vanderlande systems in cooperation with the responsible Service Account Manager.
- Proactive communication and relationship building with key- and active customers on the administrative service processes.
- You are responsible for contract administration and correct reporting (internal and to customers).
- Supporting the SAM by coordinating internal customer related processes e.g. invoicing, spare parts, or service take over for Retrofit, Modification and Revision (RMR) projects.
- You develop an expertise on the supporting systems tooling and processes and share this knowledge by on-the-job training
- Based on analysis for contract renewal you signal improvement potential.
Your Qualifications and Skills
In the position of Service Support Assistant you are the linking pin in the administrative process of Vanderlande services. This asks for flexibility and a supportive and pro-active approach. To be successful in this position, you bring:
- Intermediate level education (MBO Level 4/5 or significant work experience).
- At least 3 years of relevant working experience.
- Excellent communication skills, spoken and written, in Dutch as well as in English.
- High-level knowledge of Microsoft Office applications.
- Experience with an ERP system and interested in working on system improvements.
- Service-, supporting- and process- and mind set. A service-minded, supportive attitude with a focus on process improvement.
- Working experience in a supervising role is a plus.
About the team
You are part of the Service Operations department within the customer center Warehousing International. You will be part of the team responsible for the Benelux region. The Benelux is the most mature service region within the customer center and is responsible for serving BeNeLux Warehousing, APS but also worldwide customers. You will report to the Team Lead for the Service Account Managers and Support Office. It has a great informal team culture where colleagues energize and motivate each other.

This position offers a competitive salary range of €3210 to €4100 gross per month (excluding 8% holiday allowance), depending on your knowledge and experience.
