ABOUT THE ROLE This is a great opportunity to join a growing, global organization. The Forecasting Planner will be proactive and detail-oriented, leading the seasonal forecasting at the style/color level for our internal Private Brands. This role involves reviewing production timelines, monitoring inventory levels and optimizing sales strategies to meet financial targets. WHAT YOU’LL DO
- Develop and manage seasonal buy forecasts at the style/color level for both carryover and new styles to support sales goals and inventory requirements, by analyzing historical sales trends, market data, and performance metrics.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to determine the product assortment mix and ensure alignment with merchandising strategies.
- Assess inventory levels and work with the production team to prioritize orders, including requesting air freight when necessary.
- Track weekly sales performance and inventory to ensure forecasts align with current trends.
- Proactively provide recommendations to the buying team on promotional cadence, discontinuing slow-selling items, markdown strategies, and revising future buy plans based on current sales trends.
- Collaborate with the B2B sales team to understand customer demand, incorporate their estimated needs into seasonal forecasts, and provide guidance on discontinued products.
- Simplify processes and automate standard reporting; explore and leverage business intelligence tools for reporting.
- Strong analytical skills with proficiency in forecasting software, Excel, and data visualization tools (e.g., Power BI)
- Knowledge of inventory management principles and practices
- Experience in demand planning, supply chain management, or a similar role
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, solid Excel skills
- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills
- Microsoft Dynamix AX- ERP system knowledge preferred
- Organization skills- ability to manage time, prioritize work, meet deadlines, and complete all assigned tasks
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills to work effectively across cross-functional teams.
- Proven project management experience, including the ability to lead cross-functional initiatives, meet deadlines, and manage competing priorities effectively
- Ability to balance multiple priorities while maintaining accuracy and attention to detail
- BS/BA Degree - Business, Supply Chain Management
