JOB DESCRIPTION AND POSITION REQUIREMENTS:
The Recreation, Parks and Tourism Management Department (RPTM) is currently seeking a part-time data technician. This position consists mainly of weekends with some weekdays available, starting immediately.
Job Duties:
Conduct fact-to-face interviews
Conduct visitor counts at various locations in the Pinchot and Weiser State Forests
Requirements and qualifications:
Must have excellent interpersonal skills
Ability to follow directions
Detail-oriented
Ability to work independently in remote locations
Responsible individual with a polite, courteous, and friendly demeanor
Willingness and ability to drive long distances
Willingness to work in all weather conditions
Knowledge and skill in written/oral communication
Ability to conduct interviews with recreation users
Coordinate data collection with project supervisor on a daily basis
This job requires that you operate a motor vehicle as a part of your job duties. A valid US driver’s license and successful completion of a motor vehicle records check will be required in addition to standard background checks.
Must be available to work weekends
