Position Number: 118110 Position Title (Classification Title):  Advanced Registered Nurse Practitioner 118110 Working Title:  Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner Job Summary: Responsible for providing appropriate psychiatric assessment, diagnosis, treatment and counseling to students in accordance with standards of professional practice, ethical conduct, and within the guidelines of all national, state and local laws. Provide psychoeducation and consultative services. Department Counseling Ctr & Health Education FLSA: Exempt Minimum Qualifications: Certification as an advanced registered nurse practitioner in accordance with Chapter 464 Florida Statutes. Position Qualifications: Graduate of an accredited school of nursing. Current Florida license as Advanced Registered Nurse Practitioner in Adult Psychiatric Mental Health. Preferred Qualifications Board Certified in Adult Psychiatric Mental Health Nursing though American Nurses Credentialing Center. Clinical Nurse Specialist. Experience working in a University setting. Clinical background/experience with young adults. Demonstrated commitment and competency in working with a varied student population. Demonstrated commitment and competency in quality assurance of medical records management. Demonstrated commitment and competency in emergency/disaster planning. Essential Functions / Job Duties:

• 70% - Responsible for providing appropriate psychiatric assessment, diagnosis, treatment and crisis services to students including the medical management of symptoms as well as providing counseling and education and documenting in accordance with standards of professional practice, ethical conduct, and within the guidelines of Florida laws. - (Essential)
• 15% - Provides consultation internally to CAPS staff, and also provides consultation to SHS, students, staff and faculty across campus. - (Essential)
• 5% - Participates in continuing education activities required to maintain current licensure and other required trainings. Supervision of cases expected with medical provider/staff psychiatrist. - (Essential)
• 10% - Participates in internal CAPS meetings and may serve on university committees, task forces, search committees, or at other student affairs meetings. - (Essential)
