Warehouse Supervisor

Description

The main responsibility of the Warehouse Supervisor is to assist the General manager with day to day operations of our 3pl facility.  This role will interact heavily with our hourly staff.

Primary Duties:

• Supervise and coordinate the work of all employees
• Process orders from requisitions and dispense items from stock
• Utilizes forklift to move freight to appropriate location
• Prepare schedule, work assignments and special project
• Oversee all work flow to ensure orders are completed accurately and on schedule
• Manage, motivate and mentor all warehouse employees to ensure work is completed; Efficiently and effectively in accordance with company policy
• Enforce company policies regarding; standards for sanitation, maintenance, safety and security
• Reports employee hours into payroll system on a weekly basis
• Utilizes computer system to ensure stock records are up-to-date
• Completes all required documentation for inbound and outbound documents
• Communicates operational issues to supervisor

Requirements

Qualifications:

• High school diploma or GED required; Bachelor’s preferred
• 2+ years related experience in a Haz Mat distribution center; or equivalent combinator of education and training
• Previous WMS experience preferred
• Proficient with MS products including; Word, Excel, Outlook and PowerPoint
• Ability to read, analyze, interpret and implement; business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures and governmental regulations
• Ability to communicate effectively orally and written word (reports, business correspondence and procedure manuals)
• Previous forklift experience required
• Ability to lift 50 LBS repeatedly
