We are seeking a motivated Software Cross Product Team (CPT) Lead to join the Taiwan Indigenous Defense Submarine Ships 2+ program within the Maritime Systems and Platforms Software Department.  As a Software CPT Lead, you will be responsible for the management and execution of the Software scope.   The ideal candidate is a well-disciplined individual with a proven applicable technical background, who is able to thrive in a dynamic Agile environment and is able to work well in a team setting. You will work primarily onsite in Portsmouth, Rhode Island. 

What You Will Do 

  • Develop and effectively manage the product area’s backlog, as well as execute development of new features and address obsolescence in concert with other functional leads to develop and validate requirements.

  • Facilitate the use of Agile methodologies and processes across the team, as well as continuous improvement of existing processes and systems. 

  • Interfacing with Program Management and the Office of the Chief Engineer and managing relationships with Software Functional Management.

  • Collaboration with customers and suppliers on software related topics.

  • Assignments may require some travel to support design reviews and other program reviews.

  • Lead the team to build a strong culture of mentoring, supporting employees in building relationships as both mentors and mentees.

  • This position requires exclusive onsite presence. 

Qualifications You Must Have 

  • Typically requires a bachelor’s in science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics (STEM) and a minimum of 10 years of prior relevant experience.

  • Experience in Earn Value Management System (EMVS) and Cost Account Management (CAM). Experience with developing EACs.

  • The ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. government issued security clearance is required. U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance.

Qualifications We Prefer

  • Experience working with sonar or similar systems

  • Familiarity with software development methodologies (Agile, Scrum, etc.).

  • Experience managing cross product teams.

  • Practical experience in all phases of the product development lifecycle.

  • Experience with international customers and programs.

  • Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.

  • Strong communication and teamwork skills.

  • Familiarity with version control systems (e.g., Git).
