Position Overview
The Director of Special Projects will be responsible for working with the grant team for the North Texas Area Sexual Assault Nurse Examiner Consortium in planning, developing, supporting and implementing grant programs.
Minimum Qualifications
Bachelor's degree and ten (10) years related experience; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
* Experience planning and implementing strategic initiatives
* Highly-organized and detail-oriented, with the ability to oversee multiple initiatives at once
* Ability to successfully communicate and convey their vision, both orally and in writing, in a clear, concise, and effective manner
* Experience working with criminal justice and medicolegal agencies
* Ability to analyze project challenges and opportunities, and to present solutions considering cost, timelines, and impact
* Ability to work collaboratively with internal units and multiple stakeholders
* Ability to collect data, establish facts, and prepare reports
* Experience facilitating innovation and relationship building
Preferred Qualifications
Education - Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Experience - Grant program administration experience preferred.
Required License/Registration/Certifications
Job Duties:
- Executes implementation of NTXASC to include day-to-day project coordination, liaison with partners, and assistance with program management, meetings, agendas and coordination of program activities
- Create and deliver clinical simulation training and didactic education for forensic nurses and community collaborators.
- Collaborates with others to implement and expanded NTXASC program.
- Develops and maintains relationships with stakeholders, including but not limited to law enforcement, prosecutors, healthcare systems, forensic labs, advocates, survivors, and community stakeholders
- May supervise program staff, research assistants
- Oversees daily fiscal and purchasing activities and assists in preparation and monitoring of budgets for programs and events.
