The Float Pool provides a unique experience for caregivers to care for diverse populations of patients in many units, departments and/or locations. As an RN on this team, you will travel between Coral Springs, Parkland, West Palm Beach and Palm Beach Gardens to provide nursing support and enhance the patient experience. You also have the opportunity to learn new procedures and techniques through hands-on training from some of the best caregivers in the field.
A caregiver in this position works varying shifts from 7am – 5pm or 8am – 6pm. The expectation is to work 1-2 days per week Monday- Friday
A caregiver who excels in this role will:
Provide professional nursing care in an ambulatory setting.
Assess health status, complete nursing assessments, perform telephone triage and establish care plans.
Administer medications and treatments.
Initiate CPR and other emergency measures.
Notify the physician and/or Licensed Independent Provider (LIP) of abnormal findings.
Assist with specialized diagnostic procedures, therapeutic procedures and specialized patient care equipment.
Develop, evaluate, adapt and document health education and provide it to patients and families.
Cover other nursing roles within the department.
Travel within the region to support physician clinics and surgical procedures, as needed.
Minimum qualifications for the ideal future caregiver include:
Graduate from an accredited school of Nursing
Current state licensure as a Registered Nurse (RN)
Basic Life Support (BLS) certification through the American Heart Association (AHA).
One year of recent experience as an RN OR LPN, Medical Assistant and/or other unlicensed clinical healthcare experience if applicant is a current Cleveland Clinic caregiver in an ambulatory setting transferring into an RN role but remaining in the same current ambulatory Cleveland Clinic setting OR a current Cleveland Clinic caregiver in a clinical role within the same specialty area transferring into an ambulat
