The Team: The S&P Global Commercial Team is responsible for optimizing relationships and commercial outcomes for over 2,000 of the largest companies in the U.S. & Canada. We are a close-knit team and collaborate continually to brainstorm solutions that help our clients overcome their complex business challenges. The Impact: The Private Markets are growing and evolving rapidly. This opportunity will support financial sponsors & alternative asset managers solve complex problems across the intersection of the capital markets.

Responsibilities:
This role will implement tailored sales strategies within S&P’s Private Markets business:
· Develop and manage relationships with financial sponsors and alternative asset managers across multiple asset classes, ensure best in class customer service to support new client acquisition and identifying future upsell opportunities.
· Identify areas to position S&P product suite utilizing customer insights to build pipeline and drive opportunities from inception to close.
· Provide high-touch client service to financial intermediaries and other market influencer personas who advise managers such as Bankers, Law Firms, Placement Agents, etc, communicating S&P’s value proposition.
· Leverage communication, relationship building and negotiation skills to gain user acceptance and optimize revenue.
· Deliver insights on both existing product functionality / use cases as well as explore new product opportunities.
· Execute against Private Markets sales strategy as well as leverage observed market insights to inform future strategy/product development.
· Track customer & industry developments / trends including by attending private markets conferences and respond accordingly. Provide the pulse of the market to senior management.
· Understand current and future customer problems and identify creative ways to help clients address them.

· Strong presentation, communication, multitasking, and customer service skills.
· Exceptional skills in articulating ideas and complex information in a clear and structured manner.
· Demonstrate sound ability to analyze client information quickly, and use data to influence client purchase decisions.
Basic Qualifications:
· Bachelor’s degree (Finance, Economics, or related field ), MBA Preferred
· 8-10+ years of financial services sales experience
· Basic understanding of Private Markets and rating agency space.
Preferred Qualifications:
· Proven track record of sales success in financial services industry.
· Knowledge of debt capital markets. Knowledge of Private Equity, Private Credit & Fund Finance
· Existing relationships with Private Equity and Private Credit Firms

Compensation/Benefits Information (US Applicants Only):
S&P Global states that the anticipated base salary range for this position is $88,400 to $175,650. Base salary ranges may vary by geographic location.
In addition to base compensation, this role is eligible for an annual incentiv
