Join our Data & Analytics – Data Enablement team, where we empower the business with scalable, reliable, and actionable data solutions. As a Principal Data Analyst, you will play a pivotal role in architecting robust data pipelines, auditing data quality, and enabling advanced analytics across the organization. This is an opportunity to shape the future of data-driven decision-making at BILL, collaborating with cross-functional teams to deliver high-impact insights and drive innovation.
Responsibilities:
  • Audit and enhance existing data infrastructure, proactively identifying and resolving data quality issues.
  • Design and implement analytics solutions that enable self-service and empower analytics with greater clarity & velocity.
  • Architect and optimize end-to-end data pipelines to ensure data integrity, scalability, and performance.
  • Collaborate with data platform, data enablement, and analytics teams to define data requirements and deliver integrated solutions.
  • Lead the development and adoption of best practices for data governance, documentation, and process automation.
  • Mentor and guide team members, fostering a culture of continuous learning and technical excellence.
  • Evaluate emerging technologies and recommend tools or frameworks to advance the team’s capabilities.
We’d love to chat if you have:
  • Deep expertise in data architecture, pipeline development, and analytics solution design.
  • Proficiency with modern data platforms (e.g., Snowflake, BigQuery), ETL tools, and SQL.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and a track record of driving data quality and process improvements.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration abilities, with experience working cross-functionally.
  • A passion for mentoring others and advancing data best practices within a high-growth environment.

The estimated salary  range for this role is noted below for our San Jose based role.  Our ranges for each role and job level are based on a variety of factors including candidate experience, expertise, and geographic location and may vary from the amounts listed above. The role is also eligible for a competitive benefits package that includes: medical, dental, vision, life and disability insurance, 401(k) retirement plan, flexible spending & health savings account, paid holidays, paid time off, and other company benefits.

San Jose pay range$185,100$230,900 USD

The estimated base salary range for this role is noted below for our office location in Draper, UT. Additionally, this role is eligible to participate in BILL’s bonus and equity plan. Our ranges for each role and job level are based on a variety of factors including candidate experience, expertise, and geographic location and may vary from the amounts listed above. The role is also eligible for a competitive benefits package that includes: medical, dental, vision, life and disability insurance, 401(k) retirement plan, flexible spending & health savings account, paid holidays, paid time off, and other company benefits.
