Robot Service Technician – Full Time/Contract

Today, we operate a fleet of autonomous vehicles in Dallas, Texas, in partnership with Uber, bringing our technology into real-world deployment.</p> <h2 class="heading-2">About the role</h2> <p>Avride is preparing to launch a fleet of autonomous delivery robots in Arlington and is seeking a hands-on Robot Service Technician to support this exciting deployment. In this role, you will be responsible for the assembly, maintenance, troubleshooting, repair, and field operation of our autonomous delivery robots. This position is ideal for someone who enjoys solving complex technical problems, working across mechanical and electrical systems, and contributing to the advancement of cutting-edge robotics technology in a fast-paced, real-world environment.</p> <h2 class="heading-2">What you'll do</h2> <h3><strong>Production &amp; assembly</strong></h3> <ul> <li>Assemble wiring harnesses, cables, and connectors for autonomous delivery robots</li> <li>Install, configure, and replace sensors including LiDAR, cameras, and ultrasonic sensors</li> <li>Perform mechanical and electrical assembly of robot components and subsystems</li> <li>Follow technical documentation, schematics, and assembly procedures to ensure quality standards</li> </ul> <h3><strong>Maintenance &amp; repair</strong></h3> <ul> <li>Perform routine maintenance and preventive service on the robot fleet</li> <li>Diagnose failures, investigate incidents, and execute repair and service campaigns</li> <li>Test, troubleshoot, and repair mechanical and electrical systems, including suspension and battery components</li> <li>Document maintenance activities and service findings</li> </ul> <h3><strong>Field operations support</strong></h3> <ul> <li>Travel between local sites to provide onsite technical support as needed</li> <li>Support deployment, testing, and validation of autonomous delivery robots in real-world environments</li> <li>Assist with inventory management, equipment tracking, and parts organization</li> <li>Participate in rapid prototyping and hardware validation efforts</li> </ul> <h2 class="heading-2">What you'll need<
