What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to employees, visitors, and/or contractors while carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a government location.
• Respond to incidents, unusual activity, and/or critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, and document observations according to site guidelines.
• Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the building, grounds, and perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and/or identify potential concerns.
• Monitor entry and exit points, verify access permissions as directed, and report suspicious behavior, maintenance issues, and/or policy violations to the appropriate personnel.
• Support site operations by communicating with staff, visitors, and/or first responders during routine activities, emergencies, and special situations.

Minimum Requirements:

• Be a graduate of a law enforcement or military police training program or equivalent.
• Possess 1 or more years of law enforcement experience or 2 or more years of security-related supervisor or manager experience or 3 or more years of security-related experience.
• Possess an armed guard card or license.
• CPR certification is preferred.
• Pepper spray certification is preferred.
• Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
