Job Summary:

Vanderbilt University Medical Center (VUMC) is seeking to hire a Clinical Laboratory Associate 2, whom will report to the VUMC Diagnostic Anatomic Histology Laboratories Team Leader (DLTL)’s, and whom will have responsibility for accessioning specimens or patient tissue materials for testing including packaging specimens or tissue materials to be sent out to referring laboratory with minimal guidance. The CLA 2 works closely with all laboratory staff, medical staff, and external customers. Additional responsibilities include performing customer service functions, telephone etiquette, and basic troubleshooting and problem resolution.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Receives and triages specimens.
• Prepares specimens and patient materials for shipping.
• Provides general clerical support.

Position Shift:
VUMC, Vanderbilt Laboratory Services, Anatomic Pathology, Histopathology Lab, located at MetroCenter Campus in Nashville, Tennessee (TN), Fulltime, Monday-Friday, 1st Shift, 7am-3:30pm CST
