You Are:
AFS is seeking a Business Application Lead who will be responsible for leading teams that manage the enterprise applications supporting the enterprise including Salesforce, ServiceNow, HRIS (Workday, Greenhouse), Corporate Enterprise Tooling (Marketing, Development Tools). S/He will collaborate with other CIO IT Delivery Leads to define and follow overall CIO IT delivery standards and processes across all appropriate projects and delivery efforts.

The Work:

  • Responsible for managing a team of experienced professionals who are sitting at physically diverse locations
  • Leads, directs and reviews the work of the team who are independent on their assignments
  • Provides primary input to hiring, promotion, performance and rewards decisions for direct reports as well as subcontractors operating in a blended team
  • Responsible for oversight of teams creating and maintaining system documentation to include diagrams, configuration details, admin guides, and Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs)
  • Duties may include updating to next gen technology, managing legacy systems, and coordination with multi-functional team support to ensure a high-quality product for customers
  • Responsible for establishing and maintaining relationships with stakeholders; meet with stakeholders to take and clarify specific requirements of each project
  • Track task and project performance of the direct reports, specifically to analyze the successful completion of short- and long-term goals
  • Application of security settings and other commercial best practices such as DISA STIGs; ensuring processes and solutions adhere to company policies and federal regulations
  • Meet budgetary objectives and adjust project constraints based on financial analysis
  • Works to influence project/team leaders regarding solution design, process and/or approaches
  • Utilizes expert knowledge of and ability to apply advanced principles, and concepts

Here Is What You Need:

  • Bachelor's degree
  • 10+ years or prior relevant experience
  • 7+ years of technical team lead experience
  • 7 + years of experience in stakeholder management
  • Experience with one or more of the following: project and/or program management, SDLC, Agile methodologies, developing strategy/roadmap for applications and technical architecture, managing financials for both operational run and initiatives/investments, and/ or audit/risk management background with a focus on Technology/
  • Experience with Federal Government clients
  • Knowledge of approaches, tools and techniques for justifying a project, equipment or staffing expenditures by identifying cost, benefits, opportunities and threats
  • Knowledge of process for evaluation and selection of products, tools, services and infrastructure components in line with organization’s business needs and architectural principles
  • Good understanding of core business processes across the following business functions – Finance, Sales, HR, Marketing
