Summary of Job Duties:
The University of Arkansas at Little Rock (Little Rock Athletics) is seeking a Extra Help/Dance Coach, which consists of various tasks within the compliance unit, while being responsible for leading the Little Rock Dance Team while promoting a great game-day atmosphere for selected Little Rock Athletics events, UA Little Rock campus events, and community events. This position will report to the Associate Director of Athletics for Marketing and Community Engagement and is governed by state and federal laws, and agency/institution policy.
Qualifications:
REQUIRED EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE
High School Diploma;
Participation in or teaching/coaching experience in dance.
JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Provide leadership, choreography, instruction, and oversite for members of the Little Rock Dance Team;
Along with the Department of Athletics, select members of the dance team;
Coordinate practice times, game times, and other scheduling of the dance team;
Along with the Associate Director of Athletics for Marketing and Community Engagement, manage budget for the dance team;
Attend all functions where the dance team is to appear;
Adherence to NCAA, Ohio Valley Conference and University of Arkansas at Little Rock policies.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES
Possess excellent leadership and social skills;
Ability to work on selected events;
Ability to work nights and weekends as needed;
Ability to travel with dance team as needed.
