Job Summary
Commuter Services’ transportation demand management (TDM) office is developing transportation solutions that maximize the efficiency of our transportation system, leading to improved mobility, reduced congestion, and improved air quality. These strategies will inform and encourage our community to use transportation options using planning, programs, operations, policies, marketing, communications, incentives, pricing, data, and technology.
Behavioral change doesn’t come easy, and the TDM program coordinator will support TDM efforts across multi-modal programs. Utilizing the transportation goals and implementation timelines, the coordinator will assist in the development, operation, and implementation of programs and services that reduce our single occupant vehicle (SOV) trips to campus. During program planning, the coordinator will help identify and forecast feasibility, value, and impact of programs in relation to our goals. In order to ensure program effectiveness, the coordinator will track metrics and provide feedback to help guide ongoing development and report progress. This position requires a moderate skill set and proficiency or ability to understand how these create a complete transportation system. Research, collaboration, and remaining current on transportation policies, best practices, and emerging technologies will be critical and supported by the department in order to select solutions that meet the needs of our community.
