Cherokee Casino West Siloam Springs is seeking an experienced Lead Operations Officer to join our growing team! The Lead Officer plays a crucial role in safeguarding CNE's guests, employees, vendors, assets, and properties. This position demands vigilance, quick decision-making, and the ability to handle diverse situations, from routine security checks to emergency responses. The role encompasses active monitoring, incident documentation, and collaboration with various departments and external agencies. The position may also include leading and guiding other security staff.
NOTE: This job is a safety-sensitive position subject to drug testing requirements. A positive drug test will result in a job offer being rescinded or, for active employees, termination, even if they test positive for marijuana and have a valid medical marijuana license.
- Provide security/surveillance of CNE properties to prevent theft, ensure safety, and address life safety concerns.
- Monitor surveillance cameras and respond to security-related requests.
- Identify and address potential safety, public order, and loss prevention issues.
- Perform CPR and first aid procedures as needed.
- Document incidents and maintain detailed written reports.
- Coordinate the operational activities of security officers on duty (if applicable).
- Conduct video reviews and prepare documentation for legal action.
- Testify in court hearings as an expert witness regarding video and report accuracy.
- Collaborate with loss prevention, security, and other departments.
- Maintain working relationships with local law enforcement and fire/safety departments.
- Ensure compliance with CNE age requirements and policies by verifying guest identification.
- High School Diploma or GED.
- Minimum of 2 years of security experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
- State of Oklahoma CLEET unarmed security guard license required.
- CPR certification required.
- Working knowledge of defensive tactics.
- Ability to exercise sound judgment in determining the use of force.
- Ability to pass a CNE security-approved custody control.
- Ability to obtain and maintain licensing by the appropriate gaming authority.
- Valid driver’s license.
- Proficient in general computer competencies.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and work effectively under pressure.
- Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills.
- Ability to work varied shifts, including weekends and holidays.
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
