Job Description
You will report to the CISO of Electrification and collaborate with the Vernova CISO and their Staff to facilitate the creation and maintenance of a portfolio of Cyberservices that meet these needs in the most efficient way possible.
You will be the Subject Matter Expert in the specific Cybersecurity and Technical Regulatory environment of the BUs for which you are responsible. You will be a member of Electrification’s DT Team and remain deeply embedded in the DT function and the Cyber Product Portfolio of their BU as well as partner with key Functional Leaders.
You will be responsible to ensure that specific BU Cyber Risks meet the risk tolerance of both the BU and the overall Vernova Organization. Specifically, for required non-core capabilities or services, the Cybersecurity Leader for Non-Core systems will work closely with the central Cybersecurity team and the BU DT teams to ensure that any net new capability is properly funded, governed, and run within the BU to meet the risk standard of GE Vernova.
Roles and Responsibilities
The essential responsibilities of this role include:
Take specific Cybersecurity ownership and execution of the CMMC environment required to meet the business needs of Electrification Systems.
Own Cybersecurity responsibility for any non-Core military-related regulations in Electrification, including UKMOD.
Assist the Electrification CISO in maintaining the lifecycle of the Cyberservices Portfolio.
Actively assess your business unit’s Cyber-compliance and residual Cyber risk gaps in the non-core environments.
Other Cyber responsibilities as assigned by the Electrification CISO.
Provide Subject Matter Expertise in the Electrification Segment’s unique Cybersecurity and technical regulatory environment.
Provide Cybersecurity governance, oversight and advisement on the creation of necessary non-core services necessary to meet unique Electrification Systems needs.
In non-core systems, Identify Key Risk Indicators (KRIs) and Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) required to measure business-specific cyber-risks not covered by GE Vernova central Cybersecurity framework.
Ensure that BU owned Cyberservices are run and governed in line with regulatory and GE Vernova policy requirements.
Communicate BU Cyber risks to the Central Cybersecurity team and the BU Leadership Team.
Provide strategic foresight and long-term development planning for future Cyber-capabilities related to new business opportunities for Electrification.
Collaborate with cross functional stakeholders and key enablers including infrastructure teams such as BU DT, Cybersecurity Functions, Network, Cloud, Active Directory and Security Administration teams to ensure end to end coverage of the BU cyber risk in non-core environments.
Basic Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Information Systems or related field, with a minimum of 10 years of experience in Information Security or 6 years of Information Security experienced with a Master’s degree
Specific experience in implementing US Military Cybersecurity compliance requirements (DFARS, and CMMC), as well as classified environments.
US Citizenship and the ability to get a DOD Security Clearance, if required.
3 years of experience leading large security programs
Minimum of 4 years’ experience in and demonstrated knowledge IT Security and risk frameworks including: ISO 2700x, NIST 800.
Ability and willingness to travel, as required.
