Sr. Behavior Planning and Prediction Software Engineer - ADAS

As a Behavior Planning Engineer on our ADAS Autonomous Driving Team, you will be responsible for designing, developing and evaluating cutting-edge machine learning architectures for behavior planning. You will stay up-to-date with the latest behavior planning literature, researching recent developments and evaluating opportunities for integrating them into our autonomous driving models. Additionally, you will be responsible for managing the storage, curation, and transport of data from our fleet and customers for the purpose of automated inference and algorithm development. You will conduct data analysis to extract critical scenarios from simulation data and fleet data, contributing to the enhancement of our autonomous driving system's decision-making capabilities. The Role:
· Design, prototype, engineer, test, release and launch cutting edge features for ADAS/Autonomous Driving.
· Conduct research to come up with state-of-the-art machine learning based planning and prediction solutions and have the drive and expertise to take such solution to production.
Qualifications:
Must haves:
· Proficiency in C++ & Python, with 3+ years of academic/industry experience specifically with relevant libraries used for machine learning, data analysis and management.
· Demonstrated expertise in software design principles, with a focus on creating scalable and efficient data management systems.
· Demonstrated expertise in deep learning principles, with a focus on developing large-scale models.
· Understanding and exposure to non-ML planning methods.
· Conduct research to come up with state-of-the-art machine learning based planning and prediction solutions and have the drive and expertise to take such solution to production.
Preferable:
· 3+ years of academic/industry experience in ML development, with a solid understanding of its applications in large-scale data systems.
· Background in one of these areas' perception, environment modeling , prediction or planning as part of ADAS/AD software stack or equivalent robotic applications.
· Academic or practical experience in imitation learning, reinforcement learning, simulation etc.
· Experience working with Foundational models, LLMs, end-end models for AV stacks.
· Experience with porting trained models to embedded platforms and solid fundamentals in c++.
Education:
· BS or MS/PhD (preferred) in Computer Engineering, Computer Science or Data Science.
Salary Range: The compensation range for this position is specific to the locations listed below and is the range Lucid reasonably and in good faith expects to pay for the position taking into account the wide variety of factors that are considered in making compensation decisions, including job-related knowledge; skillset; experience, education and training; certifications; and other relevant business and organizational factors.
