South Pointe Hospital provides comprehensive surgical services to meet the needs of patients above the age of 14. Our board certified, highly experienced gastroenterologists and surgeons collaborate on various endoscopy procedures to achieve excellent medical outcomes for patients with a variety of gastrointestinal disorders, including abdominal pain, vomiting and bleeding from the intestinal tract. As an RN, you will assist fellow caregivers in delivering exceptional Pre/Intra & Post Procedural care for patients undergoing Endoscopic procedures. In this role, you will interact directly with patients, families and visitors, offering the opportunity to enhance their experience and supply healthcare education as needed. Additionally, the Cleveland Clinic system provides nurses with many professional development resources, including furthering education and online/in-person courses to enhance your skills.

Our Center for Workplace Violence Prevention and Caregiver Well-Being sets caregiver safety as a priority, identifying, reporting and responding to incidents and providing safety resources.
A caregiver in this position works days from 7:00AM – 5:30PM or 6:00AM – 4:30PM, with on-call requirements.
A caregiver who excels in this role will:
Provide nursing care to patients undergoing diagnostic or therapeutic services to hospitalized patients in various healthcare settings.
Assess patients, complete nursing assessments, document findings in patient records and notify physicians of abnormal findings.
Perform telephone triage and call rotations.
Perform nursing procedures and administer treatments and medications.
Establish care plans in collaboration with patients, families and the health care team. <
