About the role

DESCRIPTION:

Duties: Collect, process, analyze and deliver data to aid with decision-making, advisor scorecard tracking, and public reporting. Implement ETL processes to clean, transform, and preprocess financial data for analysis/reporting and drive business intelligence initiatives. Implement automation solutions for routine data processing tasks, reducing manual efforts and improving efficiency in handling financial data. Collaborate with cross functional teams and other stakeholders such as Product Controllers and CFOs to understand data requirements and provide effective technical solutions. Drive and monitor the monthly reporting process for public disclosure while establishing controls for financial reporting. Develop financial models to evaluate the impact of proposed changes, market impacts or strategies on the organization's financial performance. Identify opportunities for streamlining and optimizing financial processes to enhance efficiency, reduce costs and improve overall performance. Clearly and effectively communicate complex financial information and analysis to both technical and non-technical stakeholders. Partner with finance and tech teams to identify and resolve issues that come up in monthly reporting reviews. Define and track key performance indicators to assess financial performance, providing actionable insights to business finance managers and stakeholders. Work with cross-functional project teams, ensuring alignment with project goals, scope, timelines and drive the execution of platform modernization projects across MIS applications and infrastructure. Coordinate and conduct training sessions and knowledge transfer activities to ensure that finance teams are well-prepared for new processes or systems introduced through various projects impacting MIS data, applications, or infrastructure.

QUALIFICATIONS:

Minimum education and experience required: Master's degree in Information Technology & Management, Computer Science, Management Information Systems, Engineering or related field of study plus 1 year (12 months) of experience in the job offered or as Financial Data Analysis, Associate Projects, or related occupation.

Skills Required: This position requires experience with the following: troubleshooting data using SQL including identifying and fixing issues with database queries, stored procedures and query optimization; creating stored procedures in SQL to automate manual processes using variables, temp tables, update, inserts, joins, and indexes; creating variance analysis datasets in SQL to identify drivers of differences between two sets of data; developing automation solutions using SSIS, SSRS, and Alteryx to streamline financial workflows and reduce manual errors; implementing and monitoring ETL solutions using SSIS during production cycles to clean, transform and preprocess financial data for analysis and reporting; advanced Excel functions such as vlookup, xlookup, sumifs, countifs, concate, or index-match to handle large volumes of financial data for performing complex calculations involving multiple cells or ranges; creating dynamic pivot tables to summarize and analyze large data sets along with pivot table calculated fields; developing views using advanced charting techniques using data visualization in Tableau to create visually appealing and insightful financial dashboards and incorporating interactive elements and drill-down capabilities for detailed analysis.

Full-Time. Salary:  $142,500 - $190,000 per year.
