Sales Engineer, Intern

We are seeking a sales engineer intern for summer 2023 to work with our Industrial/Major Projects team.

This position is a 3-month paid internship with the potential for early start or extension. Start dates are flexible based on employee’s schedule.

In this position, your duties will entail:

• Review of Mechanical, Electrical and Control System plans and specifications. Including electrical control circuit design, conduit and wire schedules, instrumentation schedules, etc.
• Estimate material, labor, and subcontractor costs for system for plans and specifications projects as well as layout and design systems and provide proposals on design-build projects.
• Prepare technical scope of work proposals and presentations.
• Assist consulting engineers with the design and specifications of system applications.
• Prepare technical scope of work proposals and presentations.
• Subcontractor coordination, product review, and best practices implementation
• Team sell with other Sales team members.
• Track sales activities and forecast sales opportunities in CRM.
• Continue to improve knowledge of construction and industry practices and products, as well as competitive analysis.
• Meeting and presentations to customers, internal and external

Requirements

• Strong written and oral communication skills
• Experience with the Microsoft Office suite of products including Outlook, Word and Excel
• Experience with PDF editing software.
• Ideal candidates should be pursuing, or completing, a Bachelor's degree in Business, Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Construction Management or related fields
