The Land and Air Defense (LADS) team at Raytheon is seeking a highly motivated finance professional to join the Medium Range Air Defense (MRAD) Product Area supporting Sentinel Engineering Services and Sentinel Radar Productions. The ideal candidate is a self-starter and must be able to prioritize and embrace a challenging, fast paced, deadline driven environment. Professional and effective communication skills are required due to frequent interaction with program and functional leadership.

The flagship product within the MRAD portfolio is the National Advanced Surface To Air Missile System (NASAMS) system that is built in partnership with Kongsberg Defense & Aerospace (KDA). The system includes a Raytheon built Sentinel Radar, a KDA Fire Distribution Center and a Launcher that uses both KDA and RTX components. NASAMS is currently deployed in 13 countries around the world and the long-range financial plan contains multiple domestic and international capture opportunities.

The position, which will report into the Business Manager for Sentinel Programs, will provide a tremendous growth opportunity for an enthusiastic and driven finance professional. The successful candidate will collaborate with Program Office, Integrated Product Team, and Functional leaders on key business decisions, will drive program financial management and controls, and will provide financial guidance and solutions to meet program needs.

This role is being offered in an onsite capacity and is based on the needs of the business. Onsite work is preferred in Andover, MA but can also be done in Tucson, AZ, Huntsville, AL, El Segundo CA, Fullerton, CA, Orlando, FL or McKinney, TX. The Program team sits predominantly in the PST - the selected candidate is expected to support PST. Relocation assistance is not being provided.

What You Will Do:

  • Cost/schedule control and analysis, forecasting, estimate-at-completion (EAC), variance analysis, data reviewing and reporting for a set of assigned programs and multiple contracts.

  • Frequent collaboration with the Program Manager, CAM’s/IPTLs, Material Program Managers, and Mission Area PMO/Finance.

  • Personal involvement in the successful execution of contracts.

  • Support appropriation request inventory builds of Sentinel radars by managing internal earned value.

  • Actively identifying risks that affect cost and/or schedule and providing proactive analysis of all financial aspects of the projects.  Performance of additional ad-hoc analysis will be required as well.

Qualifications You Must Have:

  • Typically requires a Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Mathematics or related topic & 5 years finance work experience; OR an Advanced degree and 3 years finance work experience

  • Experience in using SAP Business Systems, PMX, EDIT+ or similar systems

  • U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are authorized to access the financial management system due to government contractual requirements.

Qualifications We Prefer:

  • Experience with MS Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)

  • Demonstrated sense of urgency and ability to meet multiple commitments as required

  • Excellent organizational skills with ability to work within critical deadlines

  • Demonstrated ability to be proactive, creative, and innovative and use critical and strategic thinking

  • Ability to quickly learn and utilize required systems/tools and independently create and accurately analyze data

  • Organizational skills in leading/coordinating program personnel toward common finance goals by setting priorities and working within deadlines

  • Experience interfacing and conducting business with various functional disciplines (Contracts, Operations, Engineering, etc.)

  • Individual must be a self-starter and an independent worker in support of the program
