Job Description:
The Pulmonary Function Technologist / Advanced Respiratory Care Practitioner should have acquired knowledge and preferably 6-9 months experience in clinical pulmonary function testing. They should be well motivated to work independently with patients on an individual basis, with a thorough knowledge of test procedures. They must possess good interpersonal skills in order to communicate with the best interest of the
patient in mind and according to their age.
The Pulmonary Function Technologist / Advanced Respiratory Care Practitioner must demonstrate clinical application and theoretical knowledge consistent with the current literature and accepted practice of the profession, in the principles of cardiopulmonary disease and appropriate treatment, over the life span of the patient.
Minimum Qualifications:
Education/experience/licensing:
• Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT), as recognized by the National Board for Respiratory Care.
• Current State of Ohio Respiratory Care Board License.
• Certified in cardiopulmonary resuscitation.
Preferred Qualifications:
CPFT or RPFT
