About the Role:Our Engineering team creates innovative product experiences that power personalized marketing at massive scale. We develop cutting-edge applications and systems that process 100s of billions of messages and events per year, enabling marketers to connect effectively withhundreds of millions of consumers.You will collaborate with Customer Success, Support Engineering, Partnerships, Product, and Integrations Platform to create innovative integration solutions that allow client seamlessly integrate with the wide variety of tools used by our customer base. As a Senior Software Engineer in our Integrations organization, you’ll help drive the success of the Integrationsstrategy at our company.The Tactical Integrations group is focused on building critical integrations needed to help retain customers, land new deals, and keep the existing set of integrations properly maintained and updated. Your work will directly our ability to both ingest and share data to and from a variety of systems including ecomm platforms, ESPs, CDPs, data warehouses, etc. This work directly leads to company relevance and success in the marketing tooling space. What You’ll Accomplish:Act as the go-to expert on Salesforce-specific integrations, consulting with both internal business teams (Partnerships, Customer Success) and internal engineering teamsDesign, build, and maintain Salesforce cartridges for Salesforce Commerce Cloud, ensuring smooth integration of client's offerings with customers’ Salesforce environmentsYou are constantly improving the quality of the project you are working on, both via code contributions as well as long-term advocacy for platform improvements to generically solve common integrations problemsBuild amazing consumer experiences, taking responsibility for code quality, scalability, reliability and performanceYou understand how to partner with Partnerships, Customer Success, ProductManagement and Design to meet the user’s needs without sacrificing quality or accruing tech debtYou deeply loathe regressions, and take proactive steps to protect against them through a variety of testing techniques Your Expertise:Proven ability to customize and integrate Salesforce solutions to meet unique business requirements and maintain high performance and reliabilityYou have worked professionally with web technologies for 5+ years with experience on a single application long enough to see the consequences of your decisionsYou have strong development experience with JavaYou have experience building event-based applications and/or have worked on ETL pipelines or data transformation projects/applicationsTrack record of tackling complex, escalated support issues quickly and effectively, ensuring minimal disruption to customersYou have a proven track record of building applications that maintain a high bar of qualityBonus: Experience building customer-facing integrationsBonus: You have familiarity with frontend technologies such as React and TypeScriptBonus: You have development experience with ApexBonus: Salesforce certifications (e.g., Salesforce Certified Platform Developer, Marketing Cloud Developer) or demonstrable, in-depth knowledge of the Salesforce ecosystem What We Use:Our infrastructure runs primarily in Kubernetes hosted in AWS’s EKSInfrastructure tooling includes Istio, Datadog, Terraform, CloudFlare, and HelmOur backend is Java / Spring Boot microservices, built with Gradle, coupled with thingslike DynamoDB, Kinesis, AirFlow, Postgres, Planetscale, and Redis, hosted via AWSOur frontend is built with React and TypeScript, and uses best practices like GraphQL, Storybook, Radix UI, Vite, esbuild, and Playwright Minimum Requirements:Experienced with Salesforce in Marketing and Commerce cloud, specifically working with cartridges.6 years of professional experience performing software engineering (includingdeveloping, documenting, improving, and testing) for web technologies or applications that are scalable and reliable4 years of professional experience utilizing Java3 years of professional experience developing against Salesforce platform3 years of professi
