Electronics Engineering Manager

The Electronics Engineering Manager is responsible for resource set-up, planning, and execution of work related to new projects and existing products. The manager will coach the team to work in line with strategies and processes, and will contribute to the further development and implementation of these. This role reports to the Director of Engineering Resources.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and develop one or more technical teams, ensuring high-quality delivery and continuous improvement.
- Own and enhance development processes, best practices, and resource planning.
- Attract, mentor, and manage team members, fostering growth and collaboration.
- Align team efforts with AutoStore’s product portfolio, project plans, and strategic goals.
- Promote a culture of knowledge sharing, innovation, and cross-disciplinary collaboration.
- Facilitate clear communication between management, product teams, and engineering.
- Support organizational change and drive improvements across teams and processes.
- Champion leadership principles through coaching, feedback, and role modeling.
- Create a safe and trusting environment that encourages experimentation and learning.
- Actively contribute to the Engineering Resources Management Group and broader initiatives.
Key Qualifications
- Proven experience in managing engineering teams
- Master’s degree in a relevant engineering discipline
- Strong ability to motivate others and foster a safe, inclusive work environment
- Excellent communication skills across all organizational levels
- Strategic mindset with the ability to think holistically
- Familiarity with project management methodologies and Agile principles
- Insight into market trends and technology directions
- Business-oriented approach with a focus on value creation
