Job Purpose:
This position is responsible for assisting in the planning, coordination, organization, and implementation of Girl Scouts product program strategies. This position is also responsible for the Council’s retail operations. This position provides excellent customer service, assistance and training to all volunteers and girls participating in the cookie program.
Job Responsibilities:
- Work in cooperation with Council’s team and volunteers to implement all aspects of the council’s retail and product program
- Successfully manage product and retail inventory utilizing online tools necessary to manage job functions
- Manage databases associated with the product and retail team
- Maintain customer care cases in database system
- Recruit and train volunteers in the product sale program procedures and logistics
- Support programs and rewards strategy for the product program
- Secure booth partnerships
- Act as the subject matter expert on all product program platforms for volunteers
- Responsible for event and program planning and execution
- Serve as lead for the Council’s product offerings
- Ensure timely registration of Girl Scouts for the cookie program
- Ensure proper and accurate receipt of money processed through our point of sale system
- Responsible for the logistics for the Retail department to fulfill retail orders for shipment and pick-up
- Responsible for major cookie events and the Council Oahu buffer which includes being physically present
- Other duties as assigned
Job Qualifications
Education: Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience
Experience:
· Minimum 1-2 years of experience demonstrating knowledge, skills and abilities to perform the essential functions of the job (i.e. event planning, project management, database utilization, etc.)
· Advanced computer skills
· Proficiency in Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint)
· Excellent verbal and written communication skills
· High attention to detail with organization skills and ability to manage multiple projects
· Strong creative problem-solving skills in a customer service environment
· Ability to work a flexible schedule
· Commitment to diversity and knowledge of/experience in the Girl Scout Movement
· Must meet the Girl Scout background and verification standards
