Regional Director, Sales, Transcatheter Heart Valve (Ohio)

Become a leader in the commercialization and expansion of the groundbreaking, interventional cardiology device, the Transcatheter Heart Valve (THV). As a key member of the sales leadership team, the Regional Sales Director will be responsible for the Transcatheter Heart Valve (THV) business across the Ohio region. The role reports to an Area Vice President and will drive the achievement of sales and profit objectives within a region of responsibility, to include overall coordination and functional management of sales teams (Territory Managers and Field Clinical Specialists).   

You will make an impact by:

• Responsible for coordinating and executing specific objectives of the Sales Strategy
• Establishes sales targets, manages budget, and inventory
• Talent management responsibilities: hiring, retaining and developing talent, developing succession plans and proactively managing performance 
• Collaborates with functional departments of the company, specifically but not limited to Operations, Finance, Marketing, Human Resources, R&D, Regulatory Affairs, and Clinical Affairs
• Oversight of site performance and outcomes
• Plan and prepares forecasts by account, product and therapy for the given territory as well as propose expenses for meetings and/or customer activities
• Proactively facilitates the flow of information from the field into Business Development, Marketing and R&D
• Collaborates with Marketing and Professional Education to further develop value added strategies, tools, programs and services
• Maintain current knowledge of competitive business strategies and product pipeline, healthcare economics, regulatory and legislative activities and incorporate into regional sales plans and strategies
• Manage and adhere to T&E expense budget, inventory management, and other variable expenses such as regional sponsorships, grants and COEs

What you'll need (Required):

• A Bachelors Degree and 8 minimum of eight (8) years of sales experience within the medical device industry OR Masters degree and 6 years of sales experience within the medical device industry
• Cardiovascular or Interventional Peripheral Vascular experience
• Strong business and financial acumen is critical for success
• Must possess a thorough working knowledge of the THV products/therapies and develop an extensive understanding of all their applications

• Ability to provide strategic input back to Marketing, Sales, R&D, Operations, etc.
• Strong interpersonal skills are required.
