Software Quality Manager

Position Summary:

 

Just as iTwin IoT gives our customers the confidence to make decisions by providing immersive and intuitive visualization of their sensor data, the Software Quality Manager gives the iTwin IoT team the confidence to rapidly iterate on and release software.

This is an exciting time to join the team behind one of Bentley’s newest products, iTwin IoT. We are seeking a talented, hands-on QA leader to take our quality processes to the next level.

This role will require you to roll up your sleeves and contribute to both manual and automated testing, while managing and mentoring a small staff of Software Quality Analysts. You and your team’s initial focus will be on formalizing the team’s Quality processes and procedures in collaboration with key leaders in the Product and Software Engineering teams.

 

Your Day-to-Day:

 

• The Software Quality Manager provides a leadership role for the QA Team through expert knowledge in Software Quality. Primary tasks include:

• Setting standards and leading the performance and automated testing effort

• Lead by example via hands-on contribution to both manual and automated testing efforts

• Reviewing test plans created by junior colleagues

• Handling a large module of a product with little to no supervision

• Monitoring user success, verifying issues, and recommending improvements to product functionality

• Ensuring that test environments are up-to-date and cost-effective

• Ensuring team is using tools properly and meeting team goals within the provided resource constraints

• Developing colleagues/process/procedures that improve the measured item outcome, typically outcomes driving company goals

• Providing input to different Bentley departments, including peers, senior management, development, and technical support on all topics related to Quality

• Effectively collaborate with a geographically distributed team

• This role does not require travel.

• Requires sitting or standing at will while performing work on a computer (or any other physical requirements).

 

What You Bring to The Team:

 

• 4+ years as a Senior Quality Analyst and 2+ years of experience managing a Software Quality team, with a deep understanding of modern software testing practices

• Heightened awareness and a good understanding of product/brand quality

• Well conversant in automated testing techniques and capable of reviewing ATP scripts from juniors

• Software project planning, execution, and tracking skills following agile methodologies

• Ability to coordinate, advise, contribute to, and lead the effort on implementation of test automation methodologies

• Experience contributing to the release process of a large SAAS product

• Familiarity with a programming language, such as Java, JavaScript, or Python

• Experience with React Testing Library, Jest, Cypress, or similar unit and e2e testing frameworks

• Well versed in testing strategies relating to usability, regression, and performance

• Experience with load testing tools like JMeter, LoadRunner, or similar
