970 Design is currently looking for a Senior WordPress Developer to join their team.

In this role, you will:

• Build WordPress themes from scratch by following provided designs
• Maintain and enhance existing WordPress (and other) websites
• Communicate with team members to execute projects successfully and on time
• Communicate with clients to manage tasks and projects
• Test, diagnose and troubleshoot website issues

This is a full-time role with the flexibility to create your own schedule, however, you need to have 3-4 hours of overlap with 9 AM - 5 PM MST (5 PM - 1 AM CET). During the first few weeks, you will receive initial training on the company’s systems, but this is not a junior role and you’ll be expected to have the baseline skills necessary for the job.

Requirements

To excel in this role, you need to have:

• Experience building WordPress themes from scratch
• Complete understanding of responsive website builds
• Experience with HTML & S/CSS
• Experience with Modern PHP, with an understanding of OOP & MVC patterns
• Working knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite; particularly XD, Photoshop & Illustrator
• Experience with front-end frameworks (e.g. Bootstrap)
• Knowledge of modern Javascript development and legacy frameworks (e.g. jQuery)
• Experience using dependency management tools (e.g. Composer/npm)
• Understanding of version control via Git
• Experience with Advanced Custom Fields for WordPress (ACF)
• General SEO knowledge
• Experience developing locally and migrating websites
• Experience with browser testing
• Ability to manage tasks and deadlines, and have 3-4 hours of working hours overlap with 9 AM - 5 PM Mountain Time US (5 PM - 1 AM CET)

Bonus points for experience in any of the following:

• Sage 9/10
• Bedrock
• Vue
• Laravel
• Building Single Page Apps/Sites
• Jamstack builds
• eCommerce development
• Building WordPress themes integrating ACF & Guttenberg
• Building email templates in MailChimp & Constant Contact
• Experience building to Section 508 specifications
• Knowledge of GSAP
