Job Title: Direct Support Professional, Home and Community – Full-Time
Location: South Hills Area (West Mifflin, PA – Bethel Park, PA)
Employment Type: Full-Time, Hourly
Pay Rate: $18/hour
Schedule: Monday – Friday | 8:00 AM – 4:00 PM
Sign-On Bonus: Up to $2,000

Position Summary

The Direct Support Professional (DSP) – Home and Community provides personalized support to individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities in their homes and community. This includes help with daily living activities, transportation, social engagement, and recreational participation. The ideal candidate is dependable, compassionate, and dedicated to advocacy and empowerment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Support individuals in achieving lives of personal significance

  • Provide assistance with personal care such as bathing, meal prep, and laundry

  • Administer and document medications (after certification)

  • Promote independence through support with daily tasks and money management

  • Transport and accompany individuals to appointments, activities, and community events

  • Communicate and document concerns, progress, and accomplishments

  • Perform additional duties as assigned

Qualifications

  • Valid Pennsylvania driver’s license required

  • Vehicle provided on-site for transportation needs

  • Must obtain First Aid/CPR certification within two months of start date

  • Must complete Medication Administration certification within two months (training provided by Achieva)

  • Compassionate, patient, and committed to supporting others

  • Must meet PA Act 33/34 and FBI clearance requirements
