SENIOR SITE RELIABILITY ENGINEER

This is a remote role open to candidates authorized to work in Ireland, United Kingdom and Portugal. Visa sponsorship is not available

WHAT YOU’LL DO: 

• Collaborate with software development teams to build reliable, scalable, and cloud-native services 

• Champion best practices for availability, reliability, scalability, and performance 

• Define, implement, and monitor Service Level Objectives (SLOs)  

• Design and support deployment pipelines that empower teams to ship safely 

• Contribute to scalable architectural patterns and guide teams in building resilient systems 

• Integrate security practices into the development lifecycle and proactively address application security concerns 

• Respond to production incidents, lead root cause analysis, and drive improvements to reduce future risk 

• Foster a culture of learning and continuous improvement through consultation, mentorship, and knowledge sharing 

WHAT YOU’LL NEED: 

• 5+ years of hands-on experience in Site Reliability Engineering or in technical leadership roles within a similar team: QA, DevOps, cloud architecture, or software development 

• Strong ownership mindset and a track record of driving reliability and scalability improvements 

• Proficiency in at least one programming language such as Go, Python, Node.js, or Java 

• Experience operating infrastructure in AWS or Azure Cloud environments 

• Familiarity with service-oriented architectures deployed via ECS Fargate and AWS Lambda 

• Working knowledge of relational and NoSQL databases including Aurora, MySQL, PostgreSQL, MongoDB, DynamoDB, Redshift, or SQL Server 

• Hands-on experience managing evolving cloud infrastructure using Terraform 

• Administering observability and monitoring tools such as Honeycomb.io, New Relic, CloudWatch, and Grafana 

• Experience building and maintaining CI/CD pipelines using GitHub Actions, CircleCI, or Jenkins 

• Willingness to participate in a rotating on-call schedule 

• Flexibility to support teams across multiple time zones, including occasional irregular working hours
