Maintenance Support Officer- ADF GSE
About the role
As a Maintenance Support Officer supporting our ADF Ground Support Equipment program, you’ll be responsible for carrying out preventative and corrective maintenance on a wide range of fleet assets in line with approved maintenance policies. Working within a skilled team, you will complete work orders and perform condition - based maintenance and repairs on heavy equipment, vehicle and ancillary systems- safely and efficiently- ensuring operational readiness and high equipment availability for our customer.
Based at RAAF Base Richmond, you will play an essential role in resolving urgent on site breakdowns and responding to operational demands with a focus on quality and compliance. You'll support continuous improvement initiatives across the GSE program and contribute to a high performing maintenance environment. Your ability to work in a structured, safety - conscious manner, while effectively communicating with supervisors and admin staff, will be key to your success in this dynamic and hands on role.

You are a practical, team focused professional with a passion for maintenance excellence and a strong commitment to safety. Whether your a qualified mechanic, electrical or refrigeration technician, you’ll bring a solid understanding of condition- based maintenance practices. Your thrive in a collaborative environment and take pride in delivering high quality work that keeps equipment moving and missions on tracks. Your ability to respond to challenges calmly and efficiently makes you a reliable presence on base, and your drive to contribute to program improvement ensures your always adding value.
